Scaphoid fracture

The scaphoid bone is the most fractured bone of the small wrist bone, and it is the bone that needs surgery due to poor blood flow, which leads to ahigh rate of fracture non-healing. Unfortunately, most of the operations that I perform for this bone are bone implants due to the non-healing, while a large percentage of them could have been avoided if the bone was fixed when the fracture occurred. In some countries the scaphoid bone is fixed even when it can be treated with plaster because the fixation with a screw allows it to return to work much faster. Attached pictures of a patient who suffered a fracture of the scaphoid and radial bone, and the scaphoid bone was fractured in the area prone to non-healing at a high rate, and the bone was fixed by a special screw, and thank God the patient obtained an excellent result.
